Physiological and biochemical indicators in Norway spruces freshly infested by Ips typographus: potential for early detection methods

چکیده
Intoduction The bark beetle Ips typographus currently represents the primary pest of Norway spruce ( Picea abies ) in Central Europe. Early detection and timely salvage cutting beetle-infested trees are functional management strategies for controlling outbreaks. However, alternative methods being developed, possible indicators infestation can be assessed through changes physiological, biochemical, beetle-acceptance characteristics trees. Method This study monitored infested non-infested before 3 weeks after natural attack. Permanently installed sensors recorded physiological features, such as sap flow, tree stem increment, surface temperature, soil water potential, to monitor availability. Defensive metabolism characteristics, host acceptance, attractiveness were discretely several times per season. forest stand that was later attacked by beetles had lower availability during 2018–2020 seasons compared non-attacked stands. Results After attack, flow increment significantly than intact ones, temperature moderately increased, even when measured inner from shadowed side. Infested respond attacks with a surge monoterpene emissions. In addition, freshly more accepted males no-choice bioassays, higher number caught passive traps first week infestation. Conclusion most promising early include only certain meteorological conditions, elevated emissions, high catches traps.

hydrochlorothiazide (hct) is a diuretic agent which is shown to be effective in the treatment of hypertension. literature reports have demonstrated that urinary excretion data may be used to assess the bioavailability of various formulations containing this thiazide. also hct consumption by the athletes is one of the drugs which should be regulated by world anti-doping agency (wada), because of...
investigation of single-user and multi-user detection methods in mc-cdma systems and comparison of their performances
The mites associated with ips typographus in Sweden
Twenty-four species of mites were found associated with Ips typographus (Linnaeus) collected from pheromone traps in Sweden, bringing to 38 the total recorded for this scolytid. Because three of the species are parasites, it may be possible to use them in biological control of I. typographus. Couplets from an earlier key to these mites in south Germany have been modified to include three of the...
متن کاملPopulation Genetics of Spruce Bark Beetle Ips typographus (Col., Scolytidae) and Related Ips Species1
Enzyme electrophoresis proved to be a useful method to study population genetic aspects in Ips typographus (L.) because of three highly polymorphic loci. Aspartate aminotransferase locus-2 (Aat-2), physiologically involved in the transfer of aminogroups, has six alleles per population. Amylase locus1 (Amy-1), physiologically involved in the hydrolysis of starch, has 10 alleles per population, a...
